25 Christmas Life Hacks
Hello everyone! My name is Greta and today I am going to be telling you all some christmas life hacks for the holiday season because sometimes we need little tricks/hacks to get out of tough holiday situations! So please follow my blog and comment down below if you have any christmas life hacks I didn't mention! Also, one of my best friends has a blog and she is great with holiday articles and I believe she is posting every day in December leading up to christmas so click this link to check out her blog! Lets just get started!
1. This is a makeup hack because we all love a red lip during the holidays. SO if you want your lipstick to last all day, apply it as usual and then apply a translucent powder on top of that and then apply another layer of your lipstick and it will last all day! This only works with literal lip sticks though, not liquid lipsticks.
2. Get wrapping paper, bows, and gift tags and such from the dollar store, that way you won't waste money! This was actually inspired by my queen, amber scholl, who put this hack in a video of hers!
3. If you don't have money to spend of gifts, just make something! A bunch of people LOVE homeade gifts and they are not expensive! Plus they are unique to you so nobody will have the same stuff as the person you make the stuff for!
4. This is really random, but if you can't wrap presents, there are two ways you can wrap stuff. One is just put it in a bag, and the second is wrap it like a hershey kiss! All you need is tissue paper, regular paper, and tin foil. I got this hack from an old video from rclbeauty101 so if you want to see how to do this in depth, click this link!
5. This is a decor hack! So if you have a photo frame that you don't think its christmas looking enough, you can wrap it like a present, add a bow and BOOM christmas room decor, on fleek.
6. Another decor hack that you can do is print out a bunch of christmasy pictures and then make a collage on your wall! Its super cute and I just love it! I have one on my wall as a matter of fact! It makes your room really cozy!
7. If you don't have a fireplace, you can make one out of cardboard boxes and paint it to look like a fireplace! Its really simple and can work really well if you have little kids that are worried santa won't be able to come because you don't have a fireplace!
8. If you want to have somewhere to store your christmas wrapping paper, put empty toilet paper rolls with a slit in them over them and then place them in a garment bag and hang it in your closet!
9. I am sure you have seen this one before, but if you want to make your pancakes just a little more festive, you can make them christmas cookie shaped! SO you should grease a pan and a cookie cutter, and then put on the heat, place the cookie cutter on the pan, and pour the pancake batter in the cookie cutter! Boom! Festive pancakes!
10. If you can't find your bronzer, you make hot chocolate mix! Lol this was my friend roses idea click this link to get to her blog! Say hi to her for me babes!
11. A super cute diy christmas gift is really simple. If you really wanna get someone a bunch of little things, a cute thing to is have a theme, so if a friend likes makeup, get her a bunch of makeup and put it all in a mason jar! Its so cute and adorable and I love it!
12. Buy the travel sized christmas scents because for me at least, I can't finish christmas scents in the few months of christmas! So for instance bath and body works has some amazing christmas scents, but you should really buy the travel sizes so its not a waste.
13. This is just a little random tip which is to add little christmas knick knacks to every surface in your room because it just adds so much christmasyness!
14. If you have a fake christmas tree, use some christmas tree spray or pine essential oil to make it at least smell like its real.
15. This is a super cute gift idea. So you get a stirofoame cone and then you hot glue a bunch of candies in wrappers to make it look like a christmas tree! Its kinda hard to explain so heres a look!
16. Use a potato shaver to shave down a chocolate bar and get some nice decorative chocolate shavings. That was a lot of shaving in one sentence!
17. If you want to be warm but also want to look super cute, just take a pair of warm leggings and put them on under your jeans and take a warm long sleeved tee shirt under your sweater and boom! Your stylish and warm and cozy!
18. When hosting a holiday party, have a cookie making/hot cocoa making station so people can get some hot cocoa and/or cookies and then watch a christmas movie. I am telling you, the way into peoples hearts and souls is food.
19. Make your own advent calender using a mini cupcake tin and some foam circles taped on! Boom! Diy advent calender, super simple and easy to use.
20. This is more of a tip then a hack, but buy christmas presents whenever a sale shows up, its never too earlty. I bought all my friends christmas gifts before thanksgiving this year and I am pretty proud of myself.
21. If you want your gift wrapping to be super unique, use a clean chip bag flipped inside out! Just tie a bow to secure it and it looks super cute and origonal!
22. My skin gets super dry in the winter, especially my lips, so I use aquaphor for that because its a super strong moisturizer and it doesn't sting when I put it on like many other creams! You can find it at an pharmacy and its magical. Not sponsored!
23. If your bored during the holidays walk or drive around and I guarentee you will find a pretty lights display to look at! They are so fun to look for and they just get you in the christmas mood if you know what I mean!
24. If you don't feel like making a fake fireplace out of boxes, you can just put on the fireplace loop on youtube! Its super cozy and makes a room amazing!
25. Make sure you get a ton of sleep the night before christmas eve because you will barely sleep at all on christmas eve or christmas day! Its super important that your not super grumpy on christmas!
