Its Captain Couture and today I am going to be doing something a little different, So I am going to be starting a new series on my blog called "Chanel Crafters" which is a fashion/beauty DIY series! ( I named it that because I love Coco Chanel). So for the first part of my new series I am telling you how to make DIY ripped jeans because well, designer ripped jeans can be so expensive.  So lets get into it! What You will need:  - a nail file or a piece of sand paper - a pair of scissors - some jeans (or any denim really) Step One- Cut small slits in jeans Step Two- File the slits until then are as disressed as you would like Step Three- Wear, and look Fabulous! Hey everyone! Its Captain Couture! And today I am here to tell you, how to shop for high heels! Yes the secret is out! so lets get into it! Tip Number One- Think of the event (or events) you are going to wear them for. If you are going to be wearing them a lot go for a more comfortable heel, only for fancy parties, then go for a thinner heel maybe! Tip Number Two- Comfort is key. The most comfortable heels are thick. Thinner stiletto heels are harder to walk in and less comfortable. Think about the straps, thicker straps are more comfortable on a shoe then thinner straps. Tip Number Three- ONLY GET SHOES YOU LOVE! if you have tons of shoes at home and you don't LOVE LOVE LOVE a pair of shoes. Hey everyone! Its Captain Couture! And today I am going to be sharing with you some tips and tricks on how to organize your closet wether you have a huge closet or a small one like me! So I hope you enjoy. 1. hang purses on the back of the closet door! 2.  (this seems really simple but) LABEL LIKE CRAZY. LABEL EVERYTHING! 3.  Put shower rings on a hanger and hang scarfs and belts on them! 4.  Wrap pipe cleaners around hangers to prevent clothing from slipping off! 5. Organize by color not by length or style. I usually look for colors instead of styles when picking out an outfit. So organize by color 6. Hang jewelry on the back of the door. 7. Take a piece of wood and thumb tack it to the wall under where you hang your clothes for a shoe rack to display your best looking shoes and put a bin under the shelf of your less good looking shoes! Hey everyone its Captain Couture! and I am going to be telling you now why dress codes just SUCK! They are the stupidest things ever in my opinion and I wish they would just go away! Thankfully I never had to deal with dress codes, but I know of people who do are they are INSANE! Well lets get into it! 1. If boys are "distracted" by the fact a girl is wearing a skirt or crop top THEY should get in trouble! Not the girl! Plus this shows that people think boys can't control themselves which they can! UGGG! 2.  Dress codes block freedom of self expression through clothing. The only dress code I can understand is if people are wearing nothingness. That is just unexceptable. But other dress codes are dumb! UGGG! 3. There is nothing wrong with struting your stuff in whatever clothes you feel comfortable in! And the school dress code often takes that away from you. Some of my favorite people to draw inspo from are a.  Kylie Jenner b.  Kendal Jenner c.  Ariana Grande d. Amber Scholl style icons are people who you take style inspo from. You idolize there style. Look it up. You need some style icons. 2. Look through your own closet. Are there any colors or themes that are constantly popping up? Make sure, and this will lead you to your personal style. 3.  and finally,  Accessorize! A pleated skirt- A pleated skirt is an very important in a fashionistas closet, it is a preppy style that is forever timeless! 2.  Gold jewelry, and lots of it- Gold jewelry is something classic, and classy that will never grow old. Necklaces, bracelets, and rings, anything gold jewelry is KEY! 3. The classic mary jane- mary janes are the classic shoes that many girls in movies and shows such as alice in wonderland, the wizard of oz, and more! 4.  The silk scarf- the silk scarf is beautiful and classic, and less overheating then a regular scarf 5.  A Great pair of sunglasses- every fashionista needs a cool pair of shades!
